I love our country and believe that there is no better. Just that around election time I always wonder "are there any real candidates?". I mean, I just don't like any of them. Hillary and Obama both just scare the dickens out of me. McCain and Huckabee just don't do it for me. Republican - Democrat - and even the Independant party can't seem to think for themselves! Just because my brother and friends like Barry Manalo does not mean that I have to just because I am in the same "click". Why can't we get an everyday American to run (and win) based on the views of the "real" people?

Our Nation has been torn apart with the corruption of our elected officials. Nearly all have hidden agendas such as their investment with the paper commoditytrades of oil. The speculators are big investment banks, index funds and hedge funds.

They could of stopped the gouging on oil futures if they wanted but the bills that have been presented that would do just that was voted down. why is simple they have financial positions and by law they do not have to devulge.

No politician wants to address the issues that truly need exposure.

Everyone should email their senator, members of the House asking if they are invested with these paper commodity trades with Oil. Make them worry about getting caught with their hands in the cookie jar and their conflict of interest.

I do agree with you Waterfront. Too many hidden agendas to keep their wallets fat. The Clintons paid 23 million in taxes for one year. Not that they don't have the right to make as much as they can..........but not at the expence of all the other Americans.

I think anyone who runs for public office should have to disclose all of the interests they have that could be influenced by the position they are running for!

As for the update on where we stand now - I think Osama is going to win.

That just scares the hell out of me! We don't need a dead president and I think there will be many attempts on his life?

I hope his faith is strong
